Right after you do the dinner dishes, take the dishpan full of soapy water and pour it down the yellowjacket nest. That will be the end of that nest. I like to put a towel over the nest and pour the water through that just in case any try to come out.Quote

FWIW, the best time to retaliate against wasps/yellowjackets is at night when they're all in the nest. A judicious amount of approved spray applied into the nest and they won't be coming out again.
