Went to the bottom of Ribbon Fall on Easter. Thought about going there when looking up from the Old Road a few years ago. Looked like you could just trot on over there. Report from Chick-on recent trip made it pretty easy. A little steep, but easy to find by following west side of Ribbon Creek. Didn't see anyone else up there.

Take another look... that snow cone there... my guess is that baby is about 100 ft. tall.

Yeah it seems huge when you are there, but without anything for scale it is really hard to tell how big it is.

Is it safe to get that close in the early summer when Ribbon Falls is still flowing, or is it generally too misty to not kill yourself or blow out your knee on slick rock?

I think that getting up to the point in this video below would never be a problem. Getting all the way to the base is just a little bit further over a few rocks. Probably doable most of the time, probably gets really wet at times.
