I prob. didn't do them right. But here's two that in my Chick-on brain kick booty.
Didn't find my camera in Z Basket Dome Gully... but it was a good excuse...

To all the leechers out there... thanks... I'm limiting my seeding nowadays...

These are pretty good, thanks! My 3-D glasses arrived, now I need to go back and look at the ones Calaveras posted earlier.

Very cool. Gotta see a 3D picture of the pink chick-on.

Thanks for posting these two 3D pics.

Basket Dome in the foreground looks fantasic in both photos. Really great 3D effect.

I need to start trying to do these 3D's too, but I haven't really taken any pairs of photos to merge as a single 3D photo.

Would you be willing to post the right and left pairs of both images so I could play with them?

We're planning to go to Lake of the Domes on Friday and I'll be on the lookout for 3D image opportunities.

I should prob. just make a "site" so ppl interested can download the originals.
The smaller compressed images posted don't look at nice and crisp and the origs.

Calaveras. Here's Basket in all it's Glory imo:

If you want to play with that one ... the origs are in same place I sent you before.
(I had to delete the other files... it kept giving me errors on upload)
(I guess there is some total data limit or something)

I used the .jpg on most of these... with the raw they can prob. be much nicer.
I just. threw this one together quickly... the trees in the gully are amazing... but it needs a lot of work...

Thanks

My glasses have been shipped but they are probably in a corner of a large shipping container. Still looking forward to viewing these images.

Just got a new Panasonic camera to replace my very first "little" point and shoot didi cam (which was having battery contact problems.) It has a place on the dial for 3D. It will take me a while to figure out anything...did take a few pics in the Alabama Hills yesterday, and managed to override the flash.

What Panny is it?

OK... seriously... I'm obviously digging this 3D stuff... I just find it amazing.

Can't help myself...

One more from last weekend:

DMC ZS19

My hubby has the ZS3 and it was perfect for his first camera...quick focusing...nice zoom

This is the first camera that I've ever owned without a viewfinder though...

Thanks. You'll quickly forget why you ever wanted one with a viewfinder.
I'll pick this one up after we get back from weeklong trip as a replacement for the one
I lost in Le Bass-Cat Gullie. (if I buy it now... I know I'll end up carrying two cams for a week)
wink

Here's how the 3D mode works on the Panasonic Lumix ZS20 according to a review on CNET. (The ZS19 is identical to the ZS20 except the ZS19 does NOT include a GPS):

“The ZS20 fires off 20 shots as you move the camera horizontally across a scene and then picks the two best for overlaying to create a 3D MPO file that can be played back on 3D-enabled TVs, computers, and photo frames. The results are good, but your subject has to be motionless, as does everything in the scene. Any movement really kills the effect. It's a nice extra to play with, but not a must-have mode. ”

Ha chick-on...I carried 3 cameras yesterday! Two are on the larger size...

This is about 270*...panorama from the new panny. 13501' Cloudripper. I didn't take much else besides panos with the panny, but of those that I did...not all were in good focus. Like my Oly, the in camera panos are smaller files...much smaller than if you stitched together frames out of camera.

Fairly sharp (except for Mount Sill) and you can see exposure lines in the sky, but it is fun.

edit...not all of the pic showed up here

edit#2...It used to be that when you copied a photo from faceybook that it would be the same size that appeared there...what happened?

Nice shot! You can see the entire image via a right click:
https://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/177810_327490594003595_74040720_o.jpg

My guess is the forum limits the margins on the photos; otherwise a photo of that width would blow out the right margin, rendering the rest of the page somewhat unreadable in standard screen width.

Wow, it's dry up there. For comparison, here's a shot from a year ago, 7/1/11:

The skeeters were atrocious! Did they send out the welcome wagon for you, I'm curious?

Hiker Chicky. Yowza! Nice!

Was just looking this morning at all the THs on the eastside have yet to visit.
I used to take more Panorama Shots... but ever since cams gave the option of 16x9
I've been pretty happy with that format and have gone away from them .. only
taking a few here and there.

w/r to the snow and hijack comment by Quiet... it is just crazy the difference b/t
this year and last. I pretty much don't expect to see much of any snow
tomorrow and beyond... whereas last year... it's over 5ft. of snow ... and
glissading fun ... here's hoping the mosquitoes don't fly us away though!

Have fun and POST more Pix Please!

O-M-G!!!

These are the craziest pics I have ever seen on the 'puter screen. (Got my glasses)

Now I will have to look up the other 3D topics! I love the trees in the Basket Dome photo (7 down)

(Wish that I would've at least tried my new 3D mode up in the White Mountains Friday with the ancient bristlecones...)
