Continuing my TR on my recent 9-day Yosemite adventure, this thread covers plants & animals. I had so much stuff I had to spread it out over separate posts.

Linkies to the whole enchilada:
Intro and Days 1 & 2
Days 3, 4, 5
Days 6 & 7
Days 8 & 9 and finish
Plants & animals

I saw lots of flowers, interesting trees, small animals, and evidence of larger animals on my trip, kept all those out of the day-by-day TR and put them in their very own thread. Here ya go, just some random shots from throughout my trip. Enjoy!

Note to self: next time do not pick up pine cone by stem with bare fingers. Sticky.

What choo lookin’ at Willis?

A different marmot.

Not my stuff! I tried shooing this little guy away, but he wouldn’t budge. He knew exactly how far my arm and leg can reach and he stayed one inch beyond that. I tried getting the people who did own this stuff to pack it up, but to no avail.

...and, a different marmot.

This squirrel in Long Meadow seemed quite anxious about something:

And just some signs of animals:

Deer:

Not sure -- raccoon?

Not sure about this one either. Saw a lot of these prints in the saddle between CR and HD, the duff was deep and fluffy so prints not clear, this was the best one. About half the size of my footprint. Bear cub?

Bear been here:

Yup, looks like Raccoon forepaw prints

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.
