this hazardous weather outlook is for the higher elevations of
the southern sierra nevada.

...windy over the crest tuesday...

.day one...today and tonight

no hazardous weather expected.

.days two through seven...tuesday through sunday

* winds: west winds 30 to 40 mph gusting to near 70 mph.

* timing: beginning this evening and continuing through tuesday.
strong gusty winds expected to develop again on saturday.

* locations include: southern sierra nevada crest from yosemite
national park south through sequoia national forecast...
generally above 8000 feet.

* impacts: difficult travel along high elevation roads.
