If not today, certainly tomorrow or the next day, there will be some fool traveling unroped on the Kahiltna Glacier on the trudge toward the 20,320-foot summit of Mount McKinley. Hiking the Kahlitna approach unroped is a foolish and dangerous thing to do. People die this way. Maybe the National Park Service should go arrest the unroped climbers before they hurt themselves...
