Coming to Lacey this weekend: the bearmobile

Bearmobile? Yes, bearmobile.
As part of the recovery effort for grizzly bears, Doug Zimmer of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has helped put together what has to be the region's first bear public awareness campaign on wheels. It's a show stopper, in part for the two taxidermied full grown bears that travel with the exhibit.
The trailer is a 17-foot mobile educational display designed to help people learn about bear species identification, so they can tell a black bear from a grizzly, and learn about safe camping, hiking, food storage and responsible behavior in bear country.
