CHP is talking about 140 being open. Caltrans still says it is closed.

I saw a report that says the road will be closed again at 9 AM Tuesday. No indication as to how long. I don't know how accurate it is.

From Yosemite's site:

To allow for safe fire operations, there are ongoing partial and complete closures of Hwy 140. Hwy. 140 is currently closed outside of Yosemite, from 1.4 miles west of Briceburg to 6.3 miles west of the Yosemite National Park boundary. Call the Caltrans number (800 427-7623) for most updated road information.

Currently Highway 140 is scheduled to open at 9 PM. But don't count on it.

Caltrans is now reporting highway 140 as open. It'll probably close again in the morning.

6:46PM PER 63-S1 ESCORT WILL CONT ON SR140 UNTIL APPROX 2100 HRS RD WILL OPEN AS LONG AS FLIGHT OPERATIONS HAVE CEASED FOR THE NIGHT
