TUOLUMNE WILD AND SCENIC RIVER COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT PLAN

Public Planning Workshop
Tuolumne Meadows, Parsons Lodge
PURPOSE
The purpose of this workshop is to review the Tuolumne River Plan’s range of early site plan concepts for Tuolumne Meadows, as presented in the 2008 Tuolumne Planning Workbook. Group discussions will focus on Alternative 5—the preferred alternative—and how best to create a site design for Tuolumne Meadows under this management scenario.
OBJECTIVES
Participant groups will be invited to talk with planners about each of the Tuolumne River Plan alternatives, including the current draft preferred alternative. Individuals will work together to create a possible site design according the management zoning established in the preferred alternative. Each group will present their concept to the other workshop participants. By the end of the session, the planning team will have received several potential Tuolumne Meadows site planning concepts for the preferred alternative.

Purpose and objectives of the workshop
Brief review of the Tuolumne River Plan’s range of preliminary site plan concepts
10:15am BREAK
10:30am DESIGN GROUPS: Members of the Tuolumne planning team will discuss each of the Tuolumne River Plan draft alternatives and preliminary site plan concepts for Tuolumne Meadows. Group participants will then turn to the preferred alternative and generate a site plan proposal to be shared with the other groups.
