Want to do a overnighter to Clouds Rest from TM. Is there a flat spot with water available for camping between TM & Clouds Rest? How far?

Do you want to start from Tuolumne Meadows or would Tenaya Lake do?

You pass a pond and then a creek approx 4 miles from the TH.
Clouds is approx 2 1/4 miles beyond this point. No water after the creek.

I camped there once. It was before they days of bear canisters and two people in my group didn't hang their food very well. There wasn't much left after chasing the bear away from the food he was eating. But the group had plenty to share.

This would be the pond. We stopped here to fill up before going up and over Clouds Rest.

If I recall, it wasn't that far into our trip though....We started around 10 or 11 in the morning from Sunrise Lakes TH and this picture was taken around 1:30 or so.
