Check it out:

http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_jul2005/bearfeeder.htm

This is an old URL so I apologise if it's been posted before on this site. Also, can somebody tell me how to post live link URL's on this site?

Jim

... and you were worried about squirrels.

Bear: 1
Birdfeeder: 0
(I've seen those photos elsewhere, one comment being: What IS that line made of anyway?)

Jim,

Encase the URL in a left-facing angle bracket (<) on the left side and a right-facing angle bracket (>) on the right side.

I usually do it this way, which is the typical method on most message boards:

[ url]http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_jul2005/bearfeeder.htm[ /url]

I intentionally added a couple of spaces which keeps the board software from recognizing it as a formatting directive. Remove the spaces and it becomes:

http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_jul2005/bearfeeder.htm

I think this particular bear is legendary. It's also indicative of how crafty and fearless bears can be. Bear bagging is considered ineffective in Yosemite now that there a "kamikaze bears". They'll climb up to higher branches and jump down to either break the branch or snag the bag on the way down. Even properly counterbalanced pairs of bags can be defeated by bears fearless of getting injured.
