The body of British actor Dave Legeno, best known for his role as werewolf Fenrir Greyback in three of the ‘Harry Potter’ films, was discovered by hikers in the badlands near Zabriskie Point on July 6th. Temperatures at the time of his death were as much as 118° to 123°F. This is the second heat-related death in the park this summer. Hiking is not recommended in the low elevations of Death Valley in the summer.
The Inyo County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
