Kolob Terrace Road Construction Update

Virgin, UT- The asphalt paving of the Kolob Terrace Road has been completed;hard closures of the Kolob Terrace Road have been lifted. Minor construction projects will still take place on the Kolob Terrace Road. Travelers can expect delays no longer than 30 minutes, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m. The Kolob Terrace Road will fully reopen without delays on December 11, 2015 after all construction is completed.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE:

November 2 –December 11, 2015

• Monday through Thursday: 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., expect delays up to 30 minutes.
• Friday through Sunday: The road will be completely open to traffic without delays.

*Expect normal construction hours on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
*There will not be construction on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2015.

Travel may be reduced to single lane traffic in construction areas, please use caution and low speeds while traveling.

People visiting the town of Springdale, UT, the main Zion Canyon via the Scenic Drive, the Zion Lodge, and the east portions of Zion National Park via the park's South or East Entrances will not be affected by the delays. Visitors accessing the Kolob Canyons section of the park from I-15 will likewise not be in the construction area.
