There are a few places along Yosemite roads that a piece of music has become associated with because I was playing it while driving. Anybody else have such associates?

You're supposed to hold your breath through the tunnels.

That's only for the driver.

Absolutely, there is a Native American CD called "Spiritlands", and just as I was passing through Glen Canyon in full storm, a piece came on with stormy sounds to go with the music...the parallel was incredible, and now when I need to calm myself (which is quite often!) I play this piece of music.

For me... Uncle Mike has driven the wife and I soooo many times ...
I'm in the middle row with my pillow... smiling smiley

Neil Diamond - Porcupine Pine:

Porcupine Pie, Porcupine Pie, Porcupine Pie
Vanilla Soup, a double scoop please.... No

Maybe I won't, maybe I will, maybe I'll have
the tutti fruit, with fruity blue cheese

Ah but Porcupine Pie, Porcupine Pie, Porcupine Pie
don't let it get on your jeans

And though it sounds a little strange but
you gotta eat it with gloves or your hands will turn green

Ah but porcupine pie, porcupine pie, porcupine pie
weaves its way through my dreams

I do believe I'm gonna try some and
leave enough room for dessert, the chicken ripple ice cream.

If you're into Yosemite history and old music, Tom Bopp (piano player at the Wawona) has a DVD of his most recent presentation. Very talented guy and always transports me to that hotel lobby on a cold fall night with a cold beer in my hand when I watch it.
