The October 28th completion date is all highly weather and progress dependent. During construction they are also planning to close 1/2 of the parking lot at a time and within the closed off section they will still keep one travel lane open for movement of vehicles. Also, the plan is to lower the speed limit to 25 mph within the project area along Tioga Road. Please understand there is no work occurring on Tioga Road--except for traffic control signing, however the concern is that traffic may backup onto Tioga Road due to the number of vehicles entering the parking lot with only limited parking spaces.
The contractors initial proposed work hours are:
Monday thru Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Friday 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon)
Weekends (At this time no work is scheduled on the weekends, however 1/2 of the parking lot will still be blocked off)
August 24-26: Install traffic control signs along
Tioga Road. (minimal traffic delays--if any>>worst case not to exceed 5-minutes.)
August 29-September 2: Begin Mobilization and Continue with Traffic Control and Construction Site Fencing, etc.
September 6-September 9 (The week after Labor Day Weekend): Begin Demolition of the Existing Wall and Sidewalk (There will be minimal delays>>less than 15-minutes
October 28: Construction Completed
