Yosemite National Park Invites Public To Open House

The National Park Service welcomes those who are interested to attend an Open House in Yosemite Valley on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Visitor Center Auditorium.

The public is invited to the open house to:
Access the latest news on various park projects
Listen to presentations given throughout the day
Provide feedback on proposed projects and ongoing implementation efforts
Review design concepts and drawings related to various projects

Projects that will be represented at the open house are:
Rehabilitation of Deteriorated Paved Trail System (bike paths) in Yosemite Valley
Repair work on the Foresta Road in El Portal
Olmsted Point Rehabilitation and Restoration
Rehabilitation, Restoration, and Resurfacing of the Glacier Point Road
Rehabilitation of the Valley Loop Road
Curry Village Employee Housing

Available for review will be the 100% design drawings for the Visitor Center Exhibit Hall project, current fire information and upcoming prescribed burn information, and the new design guidelines for Yosemite Valley.

Visitors attending the open house will have the entrance fee waived. If unable to attend, refer to the Yosemite National Park webpage for a schedule of future open house dates.
