Representatives from the top GPS firms say that they're unconcerned about the future of the GPS satellite constellation after a GAO report this month questioned its long-term viability.

Len,

You should read the old science fiction story titled "The Hab Theory". Same idea but instead of the magnetic poles switching, the entire planet wobbles off axis every so many millions of years. Yeah, it's an entire planet killer as far as life forms are concerned.
