Specific Campsites in TM?

Does anyone have a specific campsite that they try to get in Tuolumne Meadows? Both times that I have been there(not for 12 years), I have stayed in the Loop A sites because they were closer to the river/forks. Going there Aug 13.

My advice for anyone reserving at North Pines is to know where the stables are and avoid the sites next to them. I walked by them on the way to the backpackers campground and the stink was overwhelming.

Thanks. Is there any ban on fires in the fire rings at individual campsites? It looks like some of the sites have firerings, but not all?

I'm pretty sure all the sites have firerings. If it's visible probably depends on where the photo was taken.

I'm pretty sure the all have firerings too. One of the main things with the photos was making sure the site number was visible and that restricted the camera angle quite a bit.

I don't have reservations but am planning to go camping on Thursday August 30th. I know that TM has about 150 first come first serve sites. Does anyone have an idea of what to expect in terms of availability on such a busy weekend?

Tuloumne will probably fill up early in the morning. If you can't get in there, try Porcupine Flat or Yosemite Creek.
