I was in Lee Vining Canyon today photographing some of the aspens. It took a bit more effort to locate some good color than in previous years but there are some really nice spots to be found.

I spent more time waiting for the wind to die down so I could make an exposure than I did finding the best locations.

I'm glad I made this trip yesterday. When I looked out this morning I found snow on the ground and it's still coming down. The roads around Tahoe all have controls at this time. I also notice that Hwys. 108 and 4 are closed by snow.
