Contractor is fabricating signs. Installation has been postponed.
Integrated Utilities Phase 2a (from Ice Rink to Boys Town to North end of Lower Pines CG)
Contract has been awarded to Erick Ammon.
Pre Con Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 at 1:00 in the Big Breakroom.

West Village Utility Corridor (sewer line from Yosemite School to Oak Lane to Ranger Y)
Staging of equipment and potholing existing utilities is continuing.
Drilling submittal has yet to be approved, no drilling this week.
Sanitary Sewer Capital Improvements (CIP 2)
Cleanup at Lower Pines continues.
Pavement patching of all repairs is underway.
Removal of manholes and slurry abandon sewer lines in upper tecoya, week of 9/29/08.
Pothole to verify utilities at Res # 82, traffic control on Indian Canyon drive 9/29/08.

Replace Gas Chlorination Systems at 5 Utility Plants
The Tuolumne Plant is complete except mod items.
The White Wolf Plant is completed except mod items.
Work at the Hodgdon wastewater treatment plant is completed except transfer switch.

Hodgdon Meadow Generator
2 weeks away from PG & E switch over which will require a power outage.
Wire has been ordered.

Reconstruct El Portal Road at the "narrows"
One lane traffic control needed for video inspection of the sewer line Thursday night 9/25.

Valley Loop Road
Southside Drive between El Capitan Crossover and the Chapel is now closed until October 30th, including bicycle traffic. (For special events in Cathedral, Yellow Pines, or Sentinel Beach, please enter and exit from the west-El Capitan Crossover Side. Other than emergencies, no bicycle/vehicle access allowed between Yellow Pines/Sentinel Entrance and the Chapel Parking Lot.) The traffic detour continues with El Capitan Crossover becoming one-way northbound traffic and Northside Drive becoming two-way traffic between El Capitan Crossover and Yosemite Lodge. The Chapel will remain open with limited access while crews are working in that area (Check with the flagger stationed at Sentinel Bridge if you need access).

Paving is scheduled for the week of October 6th and the week of October 13th. Therefore, there may be intermittent closures while they are paving in front of the campgrounds between October 6th and October 17th.

Southside Drive between Wawona Road and El Capitan Crossover

Continued headwall and shoulder work ongoing during the day with one lane open to traffic.

Northside Drive between El Capitan Picnic Area and Hanging Valley View
Continued utility & headwall work during the day with one lane open to traffic.

Wawona Tunnel Ventilation Repair
Design of the ventilation system is ongoing.
Sidewalk panel replacement and repairs to the fan shafts are ongoing

Tunnel View
Striping and sidewalk placement is scheduled for completion 9/26/08.
There will be revegetation work, sign installation, and punchlist work ongoing for the next couple of weeks. The remaining work will require closing only small sections of the project area.

Wawona Road Repair (Pothole repairs along the entire 27 miles)
Contract has been awarded, awaiting submittals for Notice To Proceed. Work to occur in October and November as long as weather permits This project has been turned over to Facility Management.
