Southside Drive between Pohono Bridge and Sentinel Bridge is now open to traffic with intermittent traffic delays associated with remaining curb and culvert work, as well as revegetation work. Southside Drive Traffic will remain 2-way between El Capitan Crossover to Sentinel Bridge thru May 2009.
Northside Drive is now closed between the west end of Yosemite Lodge and El Capitan Crossover. Crews are working on drainage repairs this winter and next spring/summer they will be paving this area. This segment Northside Drive will remain closed thru May 2009.

Let's hope that they make great progress with this project during the winter lulls. I accompanied a communication maintenance crew up to Sentinal Dome several times late into the season (when the traffic would normally lighten up) and it was a nightmare at times.
