The National Park Service welcomes those interested to attend an Open House in Yosemite Valley on Wednesday, January 28, 2008 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center Auditorium.
The public is invited to the Open House to:
• Talk to park staff and listen to presentations given throughout the day
• Review newly released documents and reports
• Submit comments on proposed projects and ongoing implementation efforts
Public scoping period for the Badger Pass Ski Lodge Rehabilitation Environmental Assessment (EA) is now open. Public scoping comments will be used to assist the park in developing a range of reasonable and feasible project alternatives that meet the purpose and need, including a no action alternative, and then analyzing the environmental effects of each alternative. A 30-day public scoping period for this EA opened on January 14, 2009 and will extend through February 13, 2009. Written comments should be postmarked no later than February 13, 2009.
Visitors attending the Open House will have the entrance fee waived. If unable to attend, refer to the Yosemite National Park web site for a schedule of future Open House dates.
