The Plumas National Forest Feather River Ranger District is accepting applications for the 2010 summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) Crew. The YCC is a program for high school students, ages 15-19, who want to work hard, get paid, and have fun. There is no experience necessary and both males and females are encouraged to apply. Students must be within commuting distance to the district office in Oroville.
The positions are full time 40 hours per week for ten weeks. Crew members are paid minimum wage. The crew will perform recreation site maintenance including painting, minor construction, and cleanup.
Applications may be picked up at the Feather River Ranger District, 875 Mitchell Ave., Oroville, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, at the principals’ offices at Oroville or Las Plumas High Schools. The application deadline is March 26, 2010, by 4:30pm.
