I read the link... It was a HSC. It was never "closed". Therefore it IS a HSC.

And you can actually read?

I believe that statement is a blatant disobeyance of the "rules".

And, for the record, I'm not getting paid for this!
(although I guess techincally when I'm at "work" goofing I am... sorta)

It's High.

It's in the Sierra.

But is it a camp? (I voted no)

My brother and I were so upset with the Times Square nature of Tuolomne Meadows back in 2001 we both decided to get the hell out of there quick. The highlight of that trip was Olmstead Point, where my shorts ripped down the middle front and back when I bent over to get a picture of a glacial scratch. It was 80-something degrees out and I had to put on sweats, all I had left to wear. LOL

Where is Booth Lake?
(maybe a little distraction will work)

Have you looked under Table Lake?
(Gotta work on that lisp.)

[Boothe Lake is approx. 0.3 mi. NW, via AirCrow, of the present-day Vogelsang location. Stayed there once - Major Marauding Mosquito Masses.]

You seem to have some great "luck" with mosquitos. Seems to be a recurring theme...
You REALLY need to visit Loche Tablae. All mosquitos have been erratic-ated from that locale.

I neglected to mention that this was sometime in the spring (mid-May, probably). I think that Boothe gets the mosquito overflow from Table; it is undoubtedly their alternate campground if they can't get a spot at Table.

Would you like a Table or a Boothe sir?

My guess is that it was mid-june to mid-july.
Mid May the Boothe gonna be covered in snow. Almost guaranteed of that.

My recollection is that it was the middle of the week before the Memorial Day weekend in one of the drought years. It may have been the week after, but definitely before schools started closing for their summer vacations.

Ok. Fair enough, Later in May. Still wild though.
Late 80's had pathetic snow years. Unfortunately I don't see May surveys for Rafferty Meadows for all those years.
Tioga Road opened Apr. 29 in 88. Wow.

First sentence should read:
Glen Aulin High Sierra Camp is an established campground — one of six High Sierra Camps[1] —
AND IS NOT located in Glen Aulin....
