tire chains requirement in Nov?
October 31, 2006 07:35AM
We are arriving Sun Nov 5th and the current 10 day forecast is reflecting clear weather. Is it a requirement to enter the park that we have tire chains on us? Will we be denied entrance to the park without them?

I've never had them actually check if I have chains with me.

I'll be in the park next week too. I read that I should be prepared with chains - so I was going to rent some or buy some before I enter the park. Would that be a waste of money given the weather forecast at this time?

This the National Weather Service report for this morning. The Upshot is that it looks like decent weather the next 6 days, with a chance of rain at the Valley floor Friday night into Saturday, but no freezing temps. Bring warm clothes, but chains are probably not necessary. Have Fun!
