If you zoom in, you can see the many Everest base camps below the Khumbu glacier, and hikers hiking up the broken ice of the Khumbu icefall, I believe.

Fascinating photo. From a distance, all those tents look like mushrooms popping up from the rock.

But with the mass of tents at those base camps, don't know how one can really think of climbing Everest as a "wilderness experience" anymore. It's now just an extreme outdoor adventure.
