River conditions for rafting

Can anybody tell me how conditions are for rafting in the valley? We will be in there next week (arrive on the 28th) and I am not sure how much rafting stuff to bring.

If you've not rafted in the valley before, see the following link for the "Merced River 'Ground' Rules;"

Rafting equipment is also rented at the Curry Village Recreation Center.
You should be able to get current river information from them: Their number is (209) 372-4386.

I saw people rafting last week. The river is running quite well and is probably quite cold.
