The following new bills of interest to the NPS were introduced:
  • H.R. 87 (Blackburn, R-TN-7), to modify the boundary of the Shiloh National Military Park located in Tennessee and Mississippi, to establish Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield as an affiliated area of the National Park System, and for other purposes.
  • H.R. 135 (Issa, R-CA-49), to amend the National Historic Preservation Act to provide that if the head of the agency managing Federal property objects to the inclusion of certain property on the National Register or its designation as a National Historic Landmark for reasons of national security, the Federal property shall be neither included nor designated until the objection is withdrawn, and for other purposes.
  • H.R. 152 (Jones, R-NC-3), to direct the Secretary of the Interior to enter into an agreement to provide for management of the free-roaming wild horses in and around the Currituck National Wildlife Refuge.
  • H.R. 202 (Turner, R-OH-10), to amend the Dayton Aviation Heritage Preservation Act of 1992 to rename a site of the park.
  • H.R. 211 (Calvert, R-CA-42), to amend the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 to authorize assignment to States of Federal agency environmental review responsibilities, and for other purposes.
  • H.R. 230 (Murphy, D-FL-18), to amend the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 to authorize the Central Everglades Planning Project, Florida.
  • S. 119 (Shaheen, D-NH), to amend the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to provide for a lifetime National Recreational Pass for any veteran with a service-connected disability.
  • S. 120 (Nelson, D-FL), to amend the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 to authorize the Central Everglades Planning Project.
