Redwood National Park is seeking public input on a draft Accessibility Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan. If you would like to provide input about the plan, you can view it and submit your comments by visiting the project planning website at: http://parkplanning.nps.gov/Redwoodaccessibility. You may also see a copy of the plan at local libraries. We will accept comments through Sept. 22, 2015.

The Accessibility Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan will guide changes to the way existing services, activities, and programs are provided at federal facilities in Redwood National Park. The plan defines what barriers limit accessibility in multiple locations throughout the park and provides recommendations on how we can modify or remove barriers to increase accessibility for all users. An interdisciplinary team including park and regional staff looked at key park experiences, prioritized the most important areas, assessed the accessibility of each priority park area, and developed implementation strategies for improving the accessibility at each location.

Your input on the draft plan will help us as we work to ensure that Redwood National Park is more accessible to all visitors. The National Park Service values the public's interest in Redwood National Park and we look forward to your participation in this planning process.

For more information or if you would like to receive a copy of the plan, please call Aida Parkinson at 707 465-7703.
