Joshua Tree National Park, Twentynine Palms, CA — The Hidden Valley Loop Trail at the Hidden Valley Day Use Area will be closed to hikers intermittently, for up to 30 minutes at a time while park staff performs trail maintenance. The project will start on Tuesday, October 13th from 7:00 am-3:00 pm. Work on the trail is scheduled Monday through Friday and will continue for the next several weeks.

The Hidden Valley Loop Trail is one of the more popular and heavily visited sites in Joshua Tree National Park. As a result, the route requires periodic maintenance to protect park resources and provide for visitor safety. Park maintenance staff will be on site to provide directions regarding the closure and when it will be safe for travel. If a total of 40 or more park visitors are affected by the closure, efforts will be made to expedite re-opening to allow safe passage while staff mitigates any immediate hazards along the trail corridor.
