Bishop, CA (June 27, 2009)...The Mammoth Ranger Station and Welcome Center will offer interpretive hikes and patio talks beginning Tuesday, June 30th. Interpretive hikes will be offered at Hot Creek Geologic Site, Inyo Craters, Earthquake Fault, Mammoth Consolidated Mine and Horseshoe Lake CO2 area. Patio talks will be offered at the Welcome Center Interpretive Plaza. Talks will be given by US Forest Service and National Park Service employees, as well as volunteers.

For more information call (760) 924-5500 (press 0), or to pick up a schedule, stop by the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center on Hwy 203. The center is open 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Beginning Friday, July 3rd, the Welcome Center will remain open until 6:00 p.m. each Friday and Saturday.
