The signs in the Yosemite Indian Village are in Southern Sierra Miwuk and Central Mewuk. The big block in the bottom is in Southern Sierra Miwuk and Central Mewuk. The signs make it appear that the original Native Americans of Yosemite were Miwoks. One note here There is no record of Central Mewuks being in Yosemite Valley prior to whites entering the Valley. The woman mentioned in the sign was neither a Miwok or a chief.

But what was the original Indian language spoken in Yosemite Valley?

What is the original language of Yosemite Valley at first contact

Not one sign has the Paiute language referenced. The language of the indigenous people of Yosemite.
