People are starting almost all the wildfires that threaten US homes, according to an innovative new analysis combining housing and wildfire data. Through activities like debris burning, equipment use and arson, humans were responsible for igniting 97% of home-threatening wildfires, researchers report.

In fact, such situations, unfortunately, happen. I first decided that I would become a firefighter when I was seven years old. My older brother left a burning match next to a wooden booth. Then my dog was locked in this booth by the same brother. She was burned alive, and we didn't have time to save her. For me, as a small child, it was very difficult to bear. From that day on, I dreamed of becoming a firefighter. Despite the fact that I graduated from the veterinary faculty, I still want to save people from fire. A couple of days ago I came across a website https://firerecruitmentaustralia.com.au where people are recruited and trained to fight fires.
