Found this on the Whitney board. You gotta check this out. It's called gigapan. The author shot this high-res from Wotan's Throne. Great stuff. See if you can figure out where the Whitney version of "the cables" is.

The switchbacks are fine, but what really needs attention is the stretch between Trail Crest and the John Muir Trail on the east side. I'm surprised there aren't horror stories of people slipping off to their death. It's a long way down.
