Forest Service To Hold Internet Vehicle Auction

Clovis (October 8, 2009)...An internet auction to sell used US Forest Service vehicles will begin on Monday October 19, 2009. The public will have an opportunity to inspect and bid on vehicles and heavy equipment during this week long internet sale. Approximately 68 items including sedans, pickup trucks, SUV’s, 4X4’s, utility vehicles, heavy equipment, and several wrecked vehicle(s) will be sold to the highest bidder.
The auction will take place on the General Services Administration (GSA) auction web site at www.gsaauctions.gov. All Sierra National Forest items will be listed under sale number 91QSCI-10-046. Bidding for all items will begin on October 19, 2009 and will continue for seven days. Ending times will vary, depending on individual items.
Most vehicles are available for public viewing from October 19th -26th at the Sierra National Forest Headquarters at 1600 Tollhouse Rd., Clovis, CA. Heavy equipment and wrecked vehicles can be viewed at the Bass Lake Ranger District Office, 57003 Road 225 in North Fork from October 19th through 26th (no Sunday viewing at North Fork). All viewing times will be 9am-3pm daily.
In addition, a list of sale items may be picked up at the inspection sites on the viewing dates or at any Sierra National Forest office. Additional auction information on this and other GSA sales may be obtained by accessing the GSA website at https://www.gsaauctions.gov/.
