Florida in 2010 will allow the capture of a limited number of peregrine falcons for the sport of falconry.

The article, unfortunately, does not mention much about falconry. The process of training has been refined over hundreds of years. Very interesting. Here is a litte background info on "hacking":

How would you compare birds of prey with vertabrates of prey? They both seem to be equally smart.

I remember watching a fictional16mm film (yes I'm that old) in elementary school of a kid who adopts an injured peregrine falcon and learns falconry.
