[Aside: When I first started taking color slides with a SLR back in 1970, it was my preference to use Agfachrome rather than Kodachrome since the Agfa film/processing seemed to give colors that were noticably "truer" than that obtained from Kodak.]

I used Kodachrome 25 for many years. What a great film - extremely fine grain, rich, saturated colors, and to my eyes it captured colors accurately. Never any "artifacts" or any "banding" in the gradations, so commonly produced by today's digital cameras. I have thousands of slides taken by my grandfather and father, going back even to the late 1930s when Kodachrome first came out. They have been stored in metal boxes all these years and the colors are still deep and rich - they look like they were taken yesterday.

Kodak's tribute to Kodachrome has some excellent shots:

Great gallery of 4 x 5 inch Kodachrome shots. If you look at them closely the detail is incredible:

Stunning color gallery of 1939-1943 shots, I suspect most of these were shot on Kodachrome:

That's O.K., Vince. Last year I bought an 1950's era Model 400 GE radio because that's what I had when I was a teenager. Damned thing won't play the same music!
