Very cute critter! Might be a ground squirrel, though. Chipmunks usually have that stripe continuing over their eyes. View here:

That's a ground squirrel. Chipmunks have the stripes all the way through their eyes.

You have no idea how hard it is to admit I was tricked by a freakin squirrel!

No wonder they are so fat. Chipmunks are not fat. HyperMoochers.
