I'd say canine. It looks like toenails are showing. Cats have retractable claws and usually don't show claw marks. Also, a big cat would have an indentation at the top of the big pad, canine at the bottom.

That's a cat track. Look at the shape of the upper part of the central pad and compare it to the longer, rounder, shape of the first one. Plus, it's kind of hard to get the size of the first print.

In a related note:

Thought I'd share this one. Not the greatest print itself... but the first time I've seen a cub print in the snow...
and I've seen a LOT of bear tracks in the snow over the years.
(this was taken just before descending Indian Canyon two weeks ago)
