Yellowstone National Park is soliciting comments for a proposed project to do a routine reroute on the Specimen Creek Trail in the northwest portion of the park. Project work will involve the reconstruction of a section of trail that has been damaged by recurring overflows of the North Fork of Specimen Creek. The project will be directed by National Park Service staff in partnership with the Montana Conservation Corps, and is being considered for funding by the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Recreational Trails Program. If funded, the project and will take place during the summer of 2012.

Written comments should be emailed to bill_hopkins@nps.gov, or mailed to Bill Hopkins, Backcountry Trails Office, P.O. Box 168, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming 82190, and received no later than June 2, 2011.
