Okay, then comment on this technology:

In 1956 crude was priced at around $2.50 a barrel or about $25 a barrel in today's money.

Dr. Z, I thought all one had to do was take a bunch of molecules that had carbon and oxygen in them apart and put them back together again in a different ratio and you could get all kinds of useful stuff like carbon trioxide or bicarbonate oxide.
