In searching on Google Maps this morning, I noticed something seemingly "slightly amiss" in the labels.

Zooming in, it seems that Google has decided to relocate Mt. Whitney to Yosemite Valley:

Naw... they just moved it.
Haven't seen the EIR, but we think that it is part of the plan to restrict vehicle access to Downtown Yosemite.

I noticed that yesterday. Thought it was a little weird that a Lower Yosemite Falls hike was listed on Mt. Whitney.

I noticed this myself a couple of days ago...thought at first it was some kind of temporary display problem. Since it's still there, I just reported it to Google...I really don't want to have to drive around Mt. Whitney when I drive through the Valley next month.

Well, Mt. Whitney's back in it's proper place on Google Maps although the description still says it's in Yosemite.

Well, the JMT suddenly got a lot easier.
