Southside Drive (El Cap Crossover to the Chapel) will remain closed thru October 26th, then on October 27th Southside Drive will reopen and Northside Drive will close from Yosemite Lodge to El Capitan Crossover so crews can complete drainage improvements and paving in this segment of Northside Drive.

With the reopening of Southside Drive and closure of Northside Drive, the traffic detour will be similar to last Winter with 2-way traffic on Southside Drive between El Capitan Crossover and Sentinel Bridge, El Capitan Crossover will remain 1-way northbound and Northside Drive will remain closed from El Capitan Crossover to Yosemite Lodge. West of El Capitan Crossover, Southside Drive and Northside Drive will remain 1-way traffic east and west bound.

Starting October 27th, other than emergencies, Northside Drive will be closed to all bicycle/vehicle access between Yosemite Lodge and El Capitan Crossover from October 27th thru May 2009.

Southside Drive between Wawona Road and El Capitan Crossover: Continued headwall and shoulder work ongoing during the day with one lane open to traffic.

Northside Drive between El Capitan Picnic Area and Hanging Valley View: Continued utility & headwall work during the day with one lane open to traffic.
