Weather permitting the South Lot will be closed March 16th to April 3rd to complete culvert installation and stairway enclosures, but it will be reopened on weekends.

The set-up of having two parking lots is kinda screwy in the first place. This last Feb, as I was exiting the tunnel at a reasonable speed, I had to come to a full stop because folks who were crossing the street had stopped to chat (in the middle of the road!). I have never driven past there at high season; I can only imagine the insanity.

All you need is one bus:

When I was there last year in late spring it was a MESS. Cars going too fast, mix of visitors and workers wondering into the street without looking, cars stopping where they shouldn't, backing out into the road while cars were coming, etc. Hopefully they work out a better system this year.
