Merced River Floating
May 23, 2005 02:23PM
I'm pretty sure of the answer to this question, but:
With the high water levels in the Merced River, is there any chance that floating down the slower part of the river will be allowed next week (5/30 - 6/2)?

Is there any hope that the river will be floatable the following week, June 6-13? I'm talking about the lower calmer stretch as well.

How is rafting looking for the week of July 10-17?

I appreciate your help...

The water levels on the Merced might still be too high in mid-July this year. But kayaking is currently permitted in Tenaya Lake. There were already a number of kayakers last weekend (6/25-26) kayaking the waters of Tenaya Lake.
