Well, of course, there is that.

Am I not correct that Tioga plowing usually begins on April 15th?

I did not know that there was a set plow/open date for Tioga; it was my understanding that it was conditional to the amount of snow. I don't recall that even Glacier road has a set open date (correct me if I am wrong) (as if I need to state this!)

It is a year-to-year determination which all depends on the weather, snowpack, avalanche danger, etc.

From the amount of snow that has been showing on the Tioga webcam, I'm very skeptical that they will begin by that date even if no more storms come through (unless it turns unseasonably warm).

I finally found where I had seen the starting date for plowing. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

This is from the official Yosemite site:

"Clearing of the Tioga Road begins on or about April 15 each year and usually takes between one and two months. Predicting when the road will open is not possible, even in late spring, because weather in April and May can affect plowing progress significantly."
