In one of the boldest river restorations in the Western United States, a 63-mile stretch of the San Joaquin River will be transformed from a dusty ditch into a fish-friendly waterway under legislation approved Wednesday that ends a decades-long dispute between farmers and environmentalists.

Wow. This is going to be an interesting project to monitor as they commence water cut backs in the middle of a drought.

But didn't you hear that next winter is going to be an El Niño?

lessee, La Nina is what we have now= no water, and El Nino is= floods...which means that nothing would get done anyway!
