The comment period for the Executive Order that could result in the revocation of National Monument status and protection to 27 sites is currently open but will close on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:59 PM EDT.
Sites threaten with revocation of National Monument status includes Carrizo Plain, Giant Sequoia, Mohave Trails and San Gabriel Mountains in California.
