The 958th Signal Radio Intelligence company of the Army Signal Corps did some training in Yosemite during WWII. It was a company one of my uncles was later assigned to. People didn't talk much about the war while growing up in Hawaii, but I noticed on his Punchbowl grave marker that he had a rank of SGT US ARMY AIR CORPS. Did some searching on the Internet and his name showed up on the Personnel Roster (PAGE TWO) of the 958th.
