Hello! I would like to know what is the best starting day of the week to go to Yosemite for camping? Any tips and tricks for successful online booking especially on the starting day of the week to book for camping (eg: start on Tuesday to Sunday)? Would love to hear your opinions. Thank you!

Sunday is when a lot of campers are leaving. So it's easy to find a site.

I voted for Monday, but Sunday is also good. Days to avoid are Fridays and Saturdays...and any long weekends.

Thank you for your response! Greatly appreciated. Yes, we'd like to avoid huge crowd. So I guess weekdays except Fridays as starting date might be good, right?

Thursday isn't so good, because some people start their weekends early. Wednesday would be OK, except all the people trying to beat the Thursday people.

I should ask the obvious question. Why don't you just reserve a spot? It shouldn't be too hard at the less-popular campgrounds.

Most of the less popular campgrounds in Yosemite are closed, and have been closed.

I assume this question comes from someone planning a trip next year, and wanting to start narrowing down dates...
